Open as normal

Most of you will have heard on the national news of the problems some schools are facing from concerns that their buildings are unsafe as a result of having been built during the 1960s and 70s using a certain type of reinforced concrete.

We would like to reassure all parents and children that St Matthew’s Primary School is completely unaffected by this problem. Our building is constructed from brick and breeze block – neither of these materials presents any cause for concern.

We hope that all of our families can enjoy a worry-free final weekend of the summer holiday, and we continue to look forward to seeing everyone from Years 1-6 return, as planned, on Tuesday 5th September.
