Household support fund
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has allocated funding to administer the HSF scheme and provide assistance to households most in need. This funding covers the period of 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023.
It will provide support to:
- low income households
- residents who experience higher utility bills due to medical needs
- those experiencing higher costs due to reliance on pre-paid meters
The funding will also be used to provide targeted support to families entitled to free school meals and care leavers.
