Thank you to everyone who generously contributed items for our Foodbank collection. We had many bags packed full of groceries which will be shared among members of the whole Luton community who may be struggling to provide for their families right now.
We believe this is a great way to mark this time of year — Harvest — when farmers and food producers are collecting their crops to either sell fresh in markets and stores, or to sell to companies for processing and storing in cans, bottles, jars and boxes.
Most of our own families can afford to add one item to their weekly shopping trolley to help out the families that are supported by our friends at the Luton Foodbank.
If you missed out on adding to our collection, but you have items that you still wish to donate, remember that most supermarkets – definitely ASDA and Sainsbury’s – have a trolley near their checkouts where you can leave gifts for the foodbank.
