Our Reception classes recently enjoyed a walk out of the school grounds into the local park where they looked at all the different signs of the arrival of autumn. The ground was covered in fallen leaves and they found some pine cones and horse chestnuts. They also made some rubbings with wax crayons on the barks of different trees so that they could look at the patterns they made when they returned to the classroom.
