A Blooming Marvellous Business Venture?

This half term, a group of Year 4 children are taking part in an exciting six-week project with Ruth Baker, who runs a florist shop on Hightown Road.

Thanks to local funding secured by Ruth, the children are learning all about the art of floristry while developing their creativity and business skills.

This week, the group visited the shop to begin creating their own unique dried flower arrangements. The children explored different materials and techniques as they started work on designs that they will continue to develop over the coming weeks.

The project doesn’t stop there! The children will also become young entrepreneurs, calculating costs and setting profit targets as they prepare to sell their creations at the High Town Festival, which will take place on Saturday 11th July at St Matthew’s Primary School.

We can’t wait to see how their designs develop and look forward to sharing more updates from this blooming brilliant project soon! 🌼💐🌿
