This week we say Hello and Welcome to our new starters who are joining our Recpetion classes.
This year we have five Reception classes : Duckling, Hedgehog, Poppy and Willow are joined for the first time by Sunflower Class, comprising a total of 150 new pupils.
The children will attend on Monday and Tuesday for half a day, either morning or afternoon.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday they will continue to attend for half a day as well as having lunch at school.
Finally, on Friday, everyone in Year R attends for a full day, 8.50am to 3.20pm.
Then from next Monday, 16th September, they will be full-time pupils at St Matthew’s, hopefully for the next seven years.
We look forward to seeing everyone in their smart, brand new school uniform. Parents – make sure you get a photo of your child on their first day – and save it until they’re in Year 6 – we’ll be asking you to share them with us for inclusion in our Leavers’ Yearbook in 2031!!!
