Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic and immersive Greek Day, packed with creativity, culture, and culinary delights to enhance their learning about life in Ancient Greece.
The day included arts and crafts, where pupils explored traditional Greek patterns using paint, pastels, and paper collage. They also modelled their own Greek-style vases using ModRoc and paint — each design as unique and impressive as the last!
Food was also a highlight, with a delicious tasting session featuring a traditional Greek menu. Children had the chance to try green and black olives, juicy grapes, feta cheese, tomatoes, flatbread, yoghurt and honey, hummus, and delicious tzatziki.
To top it all off, pupils dressed the part by wearing their own Greek chitons, adding a fun and authentic touch to the day. A wonderful hands-on experience that truly brought Ancient Greece to life!
