BREAK THE RULES DAY

On the last day of term before the Christmas holiday, our Charity Committee proudly ran their second fundraising event of the year. After lots of planning meetings, sharing ideas, and designing colourful posters, the children chose to hold a fun “Break the Rules” day.

The day was a huge success! It was wonderful to see so many creative and sensible ways the children chose to ‘break the rules’, and everyone had a fantastic time joining in.

This event was held alongside our usual end-of-half-term fundraising. The money raised was shared equally, with 50% going to St Matthew’s to help provide exciting opportunities for our children, and 50% added to our charity fund. At the end of the academic year, this charity fund will be shared equally between Luton Foodbank, Stand Up To Cancer, and Cool Earth.

Altogether, an amazing £851.50 was raised on the day, with £425.75 going towards our chosen charities.

The Charity Committee would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their generosity and support. They are already looking forward to planning their next fundraising event this half term!
