Over the past few weeks, a group of enthusiastic pupils from Years 2–6 have been helping to shape our new school dinner menu for the upcoming year.
Their job was to review the proposed menu, highlight meals they know children will love, and question any dishes they felt might be less popular. They also explored new and unfamiliar foods, which the kitchen team kindly prepared as samples for them to taste.
Our brilliant catering staff hosted a special tasting banquet for our young food reviewers. The children spent an enjoyable afternoon sampling a range of dishes and offering thoughtful feedback to help us finalise the menu.
This project has given pupils a valuable voice in decisions that directly affect them, and we look forward to continuing this work with groups from all year levels as we move through the year.
