End of term

Friday 20th December is the last day of Autumn Term 2 at St Matthew’s.

We are pretty sure that everyone is ready for a well-earned break from school and work, and looking forward to spending time with their family and friends.

This day will be a non-uniform day. Children can wear whatever they like in return for a small donation of £1 which, once again will be used to buy additional resources for school activities. Children can give their £1 coins to their class teacher and it will be passed on to our Finance Team. Last time, at the end of Autumn Term 1, we raised more than £800!!

Don’t forget – Christmas Jumper and Festive Fashions Day is on Thursday 19th December – no donations expected.

As usual on the last day of term, parents and carers are invited to pick up their child from 2.00pm.

If you are unable to collect your child at the earlier time, rest assured that they will be supervised until the end of the normal school day.

Our After School Club will still be operating until 6.00pm for those parents who wish to book their child in on the last day.

Parents of children in Years 5 and 6 who are normally “walkers” (i.e. they leave class unaccompanied regularly) will need to have permission to be released at 2.00pm. A ParentMail response form will be sent to Year 5 and 6 parents on Monday 16th December.
