Eid Festival

The Eid Celebration Committee established the very first Eid festival in Luton and Bedfordshire 15 years ago. The Eid Festival is held in Wardown Park twice a year. The aim of the festival is to use the celebration of Eid as an opportunity to bring about community cohesion and encourage people from all walks of life, races, cultures, religions and beliefs to come together and celebrate!

All children, parents and staff are welcome at the Eid festival for this year which will be taking place in Wardown Park on Eid day and next day. Eid day will either be Sunday 30th March or Monday 31st March (subject to moon sighting) and it will then run for two days.

Highlights include a massive fun fair, fire juggling, donkey rides, circus workshops, face painting, henna, free arts and crafts activities, archery,  international food stalls, stage entertainment and much more.

There will a special children’s Eid Party from 2-4pm on the first day and 4-6pm on the second day with lots of party games and sports day games with prizes to be won. There will also be the usual spectacular fireworks celebration on Eid day at Popes Meadow from 9.30pm.
