It’s the time of year when we think about harvest, and we are told that because of the hot summer temperatures and lack of rain for so many weeks, food produce is likely to become more expensive in the supermarkets in the coming weeks.
That is why, once again, we are focusing our efforts on supporting our friends at Luton Foodbank so that they can continue to help families in our community.
The poster above shows what we are hoping to collect: items in tins, boxes, packets and jars that all have a long sell-by date. Other items not shown on the poster include long-life milk, tinned meat, dried pasta and jars or tins of pasta sauce.
If each child and member of staff donated one item to the collection we could have around 1000 items to donate.
We would like you to bring your Foodbank donations into school this Wednesday 30th September.
