Luton Adult Learning are working in partnership with Luton Early Years Team to offer an introductory course for anyone interested in a career in childcare or childminding. Becoming a Childminder is a free* 6 week course starting in January. This course will provide the information needed to consider if childminding is the right career for someone and will provide a clear pathway of next steps needed to register as a childminder.

New childminders are currently able to apply for a grant of £600 for those who register directly with Ofsted, and £1200 for those who register with a childminder agency.
