Read to the Beat with the Summer Reading Challenge!
Keep your child’s love of reading going all summer long with Read to the Beat, this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, brought to you by The Reading Agency in partnership with Luton Libraries.
Children can sign up for FREE at any Luton Library. The challenge runs until Saturday 5th September 2026.
The aim is simple: borrow and read six library books over the summer holidays. A book each week during the summer holiday! Whether your child reads independently, enjoys stories with a parent or carer, or listens to an e-audiobook, every book counts!
As well as reading, children can take part in a range of fun reading and library-themed activities included in their challenge pack. Completing these optional challenges earns them exciting reward stickers along the way.
Reading over the summer helps children maintain their confidence, develop new skills and, most importantly, discover the joy of great books. Why not pop into your local library and join the challenge?
