Welcome to our New Starters page. Here you will find vital information, important dates and details about school dinners and uniform. Please take the time to read all of the information below.

As your child begins an exciting new stage of their life with us, we would like to share some information with you.

Our Reception Year is made up of 4 classes;

Willow – Hedgehog – Poppy – Duckling

The year group leader is Mrs Emma Matthews.

We invite you and your child to attend Stay and Play sessions so that you both become familiar with our school. These sessions will be held as follows;

Willow & Poppy

Monday 8th July 10-11am

Duckling & Hedgehog

Tuesday 9th July 10-11am

Willow Poppy

Wednesday 10th July 10-11am

Duckling & Hedgehog

Thursday 11th July 10-11am

Flying Start has been set up to ensure families feel supported in helping their child prepare for the transition from a childcare setting to their new school. This is a big step for all involved and this website provides lovely resources and ideas to support parents in getting their children ready. You can find this information in the Transition Area.

Home visits will take place from 2nd September.

Children will then start school part-time only initially, then full-time.

Part time;

AM Sessions

Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September

Drop off 8:45 – 9:15am

Pick up 11:30am

Wednesday 11th – Friday 13th September

Drop off 8:45 – 8:55am

Pick up 1pm


PM Sessions

Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September

Drop off 1pm – 1:30pm

Pick up 3:20pm

Wednesday 11th – Friday 13th September

Drop off 11am

Pick up 3:20pm


All children will start full time on Monday 16th September.

8.45am – 3.20pm

School Dinners

In Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 all children receive a free school dinner; this is due to the Universal Free School Meal initiative by the Government. There is no packed lunch option until Year 3.





Boys must wear grey trousers, white polo shirt or white shirt and maroon jumper.

Girls must wear grey skirt or trousers, white polo shirt or white blouse and maroon cardigan or jumper.

All school branded uniform can be purchased from the school office.

Shoes must be black, no trainers or sandals.

No patterns or lines in hair and no earrings.
