Government changes to self-isolation rules

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you may be aware government guidance for self-isolation has now changed.

In order for adults or children to finish self-isolation early after seven days, you must have two negative rapid tests on Day Six and Seven of your ten-day isolation period.

The tests must be 24 hours apart and you must have no high temperature. If either rapid test is positive, you must continue to self-isolate and test every 24 hours until you get two consecutive negative rapid tests taken 24 hours apart, your isolation can then end if you have no high temperature.

All isolations can end after 10 days, as long as you have no temperature.

Please call the school if you are unsure in relation to a child’s absence.

Yours sincerely,

Ms J Thomas and Ms D Thompson
