The new school year begins next Monday 5th September 2022.

Years 1 to 6

All children in Years 1-6 return to school on Monday 5th September.

Year R New Starters

New starters joining our Reception classes will have a phased start. Reception staff will be making home visits between Monday 5th and Friday 9th September. All new starters will start Reception part-time from Monday 12th September before they all attend from Friday 16th September.

We expect all new Reception pupils to be wearing school uniform when they are in school.

Access points

As you can see from the map below, all entry points to our school grounds will be in use:

(1) and (2) the main entrance on Havelock Road;

(3) the gate on Havelock Road into the Reception playground;

(4) the gate on High Town Road on to the High Town Road Playground;

(5) the gate next to Greenbank Row on Cobden Street;

(6) the gate at the bottom of Cobden Street on to the North Street Playground;

(7) the gate on North Street on to the North Street Playground.

Please use the entrance gate that is most convenient for you.

Entry to classrooms is through the external classroom doors or through the doors between the Key Stage 1 and 2 buildings below the canopies past the circular courtyard with the painted picture walls. Staff will be positioned at the entry points and around the site to guide anyone who is not sure where to go.

Drop-off times

On Monday 5th September, children may arrive at any time from 8.30 – 9.15am. (Registration closes at 9.15am)

From Tuesday 6th September, children should arrive at the normal time of 8.45am. (Registration closes at 9.05am)

Pick-up times

Dismissal at the end of the day is at the normal time of 3.20pm for Years 1 and 2 and 3.25pm for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Children should be collected from the external door of their own classroom.

Children in Years 5 and 6 only are permitted to leave their classes at 3.25pm unaccompanied as long as parents and carers have given their permission. A ParentMail response form will be available for this purpose from 8.00am on Thursday 1st September.
