BADMINTON COURT

Dear Parent/Carer

As well as sports clubs for the children we are aiming to get our families active too! As part of this aim we will be opening up High Town Sports and Arts Centre each Friday between 3:30pm and 5pm for families to access a badminton court, free of charge.

To be able to book one of the three courts available each Friday, please visit the payment section on ParentMail where you will have the ability to book one court each week. You will also find all available dates here too.

Once your session is booked you are then free to come down to the sports centre after collecting the children, where you will be met by Mr Drew. All equipment will be supplied.

You don’t need to be at the sports centre for 3:30pm, just come once you have collected your child/children from school. If you are unable to attend your booked slot, please call the school to cancel your booking so it can be made available to another family.

The session is what we call ‘free play’, meaning we will not be leading activities. The courts are there for you and your family to have a fun game of badminton or short tennis. However, Mr Drew will be there to support, give you some coaching tips as well as a few ideas for games you might want to try.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school office or speak to one of the PE team at the school gate.

We look forward to seeing lots of you trying out badminton or short tennis over the next few weeks.

Best wishes.
