The Long Road Ahead

As you know, around ten of our staff are currently in training for their walk from Luton to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in support of CLIC Sargent. They will be joining with other staff from Putteridge Primary School to form a group called Amelie’s Amblers. Amelie is a Year 2 pupil at Putteridge who is bravely undergoing treatment having been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia last year. Both schools are working together to raise £14,000 for CLIC Sargent. That is the amount the charity provided to support Luton families in similar circumstances last year.

Mrs Rayner, our deputy headteacher, has been writing all about her preparations for the walk, and you can read this on our Year 3 blog here: The Long Road Ahead.

We’re with you all the way, Mrs Rayner … and the rest of the walkers. Good luck with all your training!
