The new school year begins today — Tuesday 3rd September 2019.
All children in Years 1-6 return to school on Tuesday 3rd September. New starters joining our Foundation Stage will have a phased start with visits over the first couple of weeks before they all attend from Monday 16th September.
As you can see from the map below, all three entry points to our school grounds will be in use: (1) the main entrance on Havelock Road; (2) the gate on High Town Road on to the High Town Road Playground; (3) the gate at the bottom of Cobden Street on to the North Street Playground.
On Tuesday 3rd September, children may arrive at any time from 8.30 – 9.15am.
Entry to classrooms is through the external classroom doors or through the doors between the Key Stage 1 and 2 buildings below the canopies past the circular courtyard with the painted picture walls. Staff will be positioned at the entry points and around the site to guide anyone who is not sure where to go.
Dismissal at the end of the day is at the normal time of 3.20pm for Years 1 and 2 and 3.25pm for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Children should be collected from the external door of their own classroom. Children in Years 5 and 6 only are permitted to leave their classes at 3.25pm unaccompanied as long as the class teacher has the permission form completed and signed by a parent or carer. Class teachers will have copies of these available when you bring your children to school on Tuesday 3rd September; they are also available from the rack on the wall next to the office in our Main Reception. If you want to be prepared, click here to download and print a copy of the Home Time Arrangements form to complete and hand to your child’s class teacher on Tuesday 3rd September.
Children should arrive at the normal time of 8.45am from Wednesday 4th September.
Breakfast Club is open from
Tuesday 3rd September at 8.00am.
