This year we are really excited to be raising money once again for Sport Relief.
Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active and change lives by raising lots of money for children and families in the UK and overseas.
Our Sport Relief day will be held in school on Friday 23rd March and we have a great day of activities lined up.
Our theme of the day is going to be TEACHERS V STUDENTS so we have planned lots of challenges for our classes and teachers to have a go at to see who comes out on top! The teachers and the children will be battling it out all day for the right to win a free non-uniform day later in the year.
Money raised by the public is spent by Sport Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. Thanks to your generosity, over the last four years we have raised just under £3800 for Sport Relief and we hope we will add to that this year.
Please send your child to school with a donation for the non-uniform day and along with the money raised through Wrist Band and Pin Badge sales in the front office this will all be added together to create our total.
As our Sport Relief 2018 day is a non-uniform day, the children can dress up as their favourife athlete, sport or even dress ‘ready for battle‘ with the teachers!
There will be prizes throughout the day for the best and most creative costumes.
Please don’t forget that the children will need their trainers on Friday 23rd March.
As always we would like to thank you for your support and involvement in our charity theme days and we look forward to seeing the children in their brilliant outfits. You can keep up to date with the Sport Relief acfion at school by following the school’s Twitter activity page @ActiveStMatts and look out for our Sport Relief video coming soon.
