          1. Hi Megan. Sorry you were not well enough to stay in school. I’m home now. Going out soon with lots of the other teachers for Mrs Wright’s birthday. Well done for asking your dad to collect your Learning Log (or perhaps your mum told him to do it!) Don’t worry if you don’t understand what you have to do … I’ll explain it on Monday. Hope you’re feeling better soon and have a nice weekend.

  6. Hello St Matthews people, students and staff alike! I was once one of you, but now I’m a boring Sixth Former only doing 5 subjects. St Matthews was a long long time ago and I can only remember key features such as Mr Hatton. Hi Mr H!

    1. Thanks for your message Miriam. I’ve never thought of myself as being a “feature” 🙂
You would not recognise St Matthew’s now, so much building work has happened during the last few years, with more to come around the playgrounds.

  7. I can’t wait for the Paralympics! I hope Team GB wins! I still can’t believe USA got 90 medals and came first on the leader board while Team GB came 3rd after China. Well never mind as long as we don’t come under fifth in the Paralympics. Hope everyone thought the Olympics were fabulous. Have a nice end to your summer holiday.
    Bye 🙂 😉

  8. Hello hope you’re all having a fantastic holiday. If you go to Miss Khan or Miss Gonsalves please say that Kaynaat misses them so much.

  9. So sad to leave you guys! Friday last day school 🙁 I was crying my eyes out and now they sting. Mr Hatton if u read this, you are the best male teacher i’ve had i’m gonna miss you all 🙁 will come visit some time by the way what class are u going to be in Mr Hatton?

    1. Thanks Edzai, that is a nice thing to say. The Year 6 leavers’ assembly was marvellous this morning. Good luck at your new high school. Work had, have fun and do well. (I am going back to being in Otter class in Year 5 after the holiday.) Have a great summer holiday.

    2. It is really sad to leave St Matthew’s.
I am going to miss all the teachers whose classes I used to be in.
I hope you all have a fantastic time in your next years and don’t forget that I will be coming to visit.
      Good luck. Bye.
      Kaynaat
