September 2011

During the summer holiday the school was closed to everyone except the builders. Staff returned on Friday 2 September to prepare the school for the return of the children the following Thursday.

The car park has been almost cleared of all the builders’ equipment and can be used by the staff once again.

This is the new main entrance to the school, accessible from the Havelock Road gate.

Close to the front of the school, we now have a space for storing bicycles.

The Great Glass Corridor

A glass corridor leads from the school’s reception area to the main part of the school.

The circular courtyard

Between the KS1 and KS2 buildings we now have a circular courtyard. This will be used as the Foundation Stage outdoor play area until the building work in the Foundation Stage area is complete.

The Year 4 courtyard

Between the new glass corridor and the KS2 building is an outdoor area, adjacent to our Year 4 classrooms.
